Sales in this market have slowed from the red-hot pace of 2000 and 2001. However, signs of a strong rebound are becoming stronger. There are 86 lots and 60 homes for sale. For 2004; 43 lots were sold and 30 homes were sold. In 2005; 20 lots have already sold with 11 more under contract and 9 homes have sold with 4 more under contract currently.
By and large, the inventory of homes for sale is huge compared to previous years so there has been some downward pressure on prices. However, the number of sales is maintaining fairly well.
Price range: $349,000 to $4.8 million for residential lots, and homes on the market range from $1,190,000 to $14.5 million.

Mountain Village affords fantastic views from almost everywhere, terrific ambiance, and easy access to the town of Telluride by the free shuttle system and the gondola. Since its founding in 1987, Mountain Village has become one of the most desirable places to live anywhere in Colorado.
Mountain Village has four distinct areas:
- The Village Core near the ski lifts where most of the commercial activity and condos are located.

- The ski in/out residential area located around Lift 10.

- The golf course area where houses are interspersed between the fairways.

- The Meadows area where deed-restricted condos provide housing for much of the work force.
