Telluride, as a Newer Ski Resort, Uses Lessons Learned From Older Ski Resorts
Comparing Telluride to the monolithic ski resorts of Vail and Aspen is not exactly comparing "apples to apples", but there are good things to be learned from these comparisons.
Half the age of Aspen and 2/3 the age of Vail, Telluride is in the adolescent stage. It has benefited greatly by using the older resorts as models from which to learn. It has been especially successful in learning the importance of effective long-range planning.
