Condo complexes and hotels continue to be built in the Telluride area despite the suffering national economy.  There have been over 15 new complexes started and/or completed in the past 2 years with 9 of these continuing construction right through the financial crash of late 2008.  It seems that investors in the Telluride area have enormous staying power and great financial backing.  Although the news tends to focus on the projects that fail, we have been fortunate to have only 3 projects ( all of which had not even really gotten started - no foundations, only plans approved) stop their development.
